Brew and drink from a single device with the Pipamoka all-in-one nomadic coffee maker. Designed and engineered by Wacaco, Pipamoka packs every tool you need to prepare and enjoy a perfectly balanced coffee. A new experience distilled right into your cup, anytime, anywhere.
Capable of extracting in no time a cup of coffee, Pipamoka brewing technics set it apart from other devices. Its patented construction, paired with its innovative twisting mechanism, generates vacuum pressure inside the mug. This negative pressure generates a suction force that draws hot water downwards through the coffee grounds. The coffee is then brewed directly into the insulated thermal mug, in which it will stay hot for hours. Pipamoka's new coffee-making method makes a clean, full-flavored cup of coffee in about two minutes.
Pipamoka uses a permanent micro-filter mesh (no need for paper filters, so you will save a few bucks and limit your waste) in order to let the precious natural oils present in the ground pass into the cup, contributing to richer flavors. The brew ratio is similar to standard drip or infusion methods, close to 1:15 (1 g of coffee ground for 15 mL of water). We recommend using a medium to medium-coarse grind for optimal brewing performance.

This is an awesome invention i tell ya. The simplicity of it, is what attracted me the most. Pour the hot water to the desired level, add the coffee grounds in the capsule and drop it in the water until it bottoms and turn the orange screw and you’re done because the coffee stays inside the thermos. I love it. It doesn’t get any simpler.

without question, and i daresay i have tried them all, this is my favorite go to brew method. it gives better flavor than an aeropress and of course is totally portable. i have tried it across a variety of coffees, light and dark, and the flavor really comes out. However, after about 18 months of daily use the gasket on the coffee basket is done. a hardware store o ring might fix this but Wacaco really ought to supoly replacement gaskets. yes, brew baskets can be bought at 10$ per, but a gasket would be far cheaper and avoid the wasted plastic and metal
